Kids Shows We Love Amazon Prime The Stinky and Dirty Show is a Kid Friendly Favorite Read review by Misty at frostedevents.com @frostedevents

Reading is a big part of our everyday routine with our son, especially at bedtime. We love snuggling up with a good book, meeting new characters and diving into an whole other world. It’s even more fun when one of our favorite books comes to life on the screen and we get to watch it together.

The Stinky and Dirty Show is based on the “I Stink!” book series, a popular set with the preschool crowd. We’ve read them all dozens of times and my son just loves them all. The lovable characters really encourage children to try hard and to find resourceful ways to solve problems.

The show follows the adventures and mishaps of two best friends, Stinky the garbage truck and Dirty, the backhoe loader. This goofy pair gets into more than a few messy situations, but with a little teamwork and a tough attitude they always come out clean.

You can’t help but root for the rough and rowdy duo, their positive outlook on problem solving is appealing to parents and children like. Even the catchy song the show opens to will have you hooked and bopping your head. My son and I laughed and giggled at the silly situations Stinky and Dirty find themselves in and the creative solutions they come up with working togethe.

The Stinky and Dirty Show provides a valuable learning experience just as much as it offers an entertaining way to pass time. After watching it my son and I discuss ways we might tackle tough problems and why it’s important to try hard. I love the character values and the positive relationships it reinforces. Hard work, friendship and having fun are simple but important messages that preschoolers can embrace and understand.

You’ll recognize a few familiar voices too. The show features lots of celebrity voices including Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Lynch, Andy Richter, Joan Cusack and Wallace Shawn.

The series will be available for Prime members on September 2, but the first two episodes are available now as a sneak peek for everyone! (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RSI4VDO)
