Hello Fall! Taking the Mitsubishi Outlander Along for an Autumn Adventure
Fall is my favorite time of year! It’s even more exciting this year because we have so many exciting things to celebrate. My birthday was last week so that was a special treat. The October issue of Oprah Magazine hit newsstands and I got to share the news that I’m featured in a full page campaign for a big name beauty brand, a huge honor. Oh, and we’re about to have a baby!
So there’s a lot going on around here! Getting ready for baby #2 has been quite an adventure. Somehow I feel like I’ve forgotten 90% of what newborns need and the whole timeline of the first year of life with a baby. I’m surprisingly calm about it though, something I hope will continue once this little one makes his arrival.
I’ve been really focused on making these last few weeks as a family of three special for Brady so while things are a little crazy we’ve also made an effort to keep our fall bucket list tradition up. Every year we make a list of all the fun things to do and see once the autumn season arrives. A visit to the local pumpkin patch is usually our seasonal kick-off, followed by county fairs, festivals and all the fun stuff that fall brings.
We had the opportunity to bring the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SEL along for our autumn adventures and test out all the features that make it a popular family vehicle. So we loaded up our borrowed wheels and set out to make memories and have some fun.
Fall Bucket List Fun! Festivals and Fair Rides
First stop on our schedule of activities: a trip to the Great Pumpkin Fest. We visited this amusement park event a few years back and loved it so much we’ve been back every year since. Our Mitsubishi Outlander handled the scenic drive so well, I was impressed by how smooth the ride was. I also appreciated the modern safety features like lane alerts. It just makes you feel a bit more comfortable driving on the highway when you’ve got those extra features.
There are so many fun things for the kiddos to do, from trick-or-treating to pumpkin painting. A corn maze, a giant bubbly people washer and rides, rides, rides! I’m usually all about the rides, but obviously this year I’ve been sidelined so I have to live vicariously through my two favorite people.
Pumpkin Patches
What is fall without a trip to the local pumpkin patch? Even though all the pumpkin patches near me are still suffering through the swelter of summer, I couldn’t wait to get out and go hunting for gourds. The Mitsubishi Outlander offers tons of trunk space for loading up all the things you need. I was surprised by how roomy it is for more compact sized SUV. We filled the back up with pumpkins and mums to decorate the porch.
Oh, and let’s talk about the speaker system in this car. Another surprise that we really enjoyed. My husband was the first to note that this car carries some serious sound. He got to test it out for a few minutes, cranking up the classic rock while we returned our pumpkin wagon to the farmhouse. And the whole way back home we blasted Disney tunes, because that’s life when you have a four year old.
Scenic Fall Drives in the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
As I’ve gotten older I’ve started to appreciate certain features when it comes to the vehicle we drive everyday. Being a mom has made me care more about convenience and safety than I considered before when we shopped for cars. I really loved how easy it was to drive the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I loved that it cruised along the highway comfortably and whipped into parking spots with ease. I’m used to larger SUVs that are a bit more intimidating to park and feel like they take up half the road. The Mitsubishi feels compact to drive but is roomy enough inside to fit passengers and haul all the stuff we need too.
