- Sally’s lines were recorded by 6 year old Cathy Steinberg. Steinberg had a loose front tooth and producers worried she wouldn’t sound the same if her tooth fell out during recording. They rushed through the lines and Steinberg’s tooth fell out as she finished the very last phrase.
- While trick-or-treating Charlie Brown receives a rock instead of candy. After it aired, people from around the world mailed candy addressed to “Charlie Brown.”
- Schulz’s son’s love for model airplanes inspired the writer to introduce the “Flying Ace” in the comic for Snoopy’s character. It was also added to the 1966 Halloween movie and was a hit with Peanut’s fans.
