Hello Spring! I’m so glad you are finally here, we’ve been waiting for you. And now that Spring has arrived it’s time to start talkin’ bout Easter. I’ve got a whole bunch of fun Easter ideas I’ll be sharing with you guys over the next few weeks. Easter crafts, Easter basket ideas, Easter brunch recipes, cute Easter dresses…. we’ve been hopping around like bunny rabbits working on all this cute Easter inspiration!
But first I had to show you this super cute Easter treat we whipped up one afternoon. These are so easy to make and your kids will LOVE helping out. My little guy was so excited he got to play mommy’s little helper. Mostly though he was excited about the sprinkles!
Easter Treats — How to Make Rice Krispie Peeps Â
I love seeing the Peeps marshmallow bunnies and chicks pop up on the shelves. They bring back all kinds of memories of Easter when I was  young…. the Easter egg hunts and the baskets filled with candy! There’s a Peeps store at the National Harbor you have to check out if you visit the DC area, it’s full of fun Peeps stuff. They’ve got all kinds of Peeps candies, Peeps pillows, Peeps everything.
You only need a few things to make these treats. Peeps, a box of Rice Krispies, marshmallows, butter and sprinkles. Chances are you’ve made Rice Krispies Treats before. We make them allll the time!

Melt your butter. Add in the marshmallows. Pour in the Rice Krispies. Remove from heat and press into a 13×9 pan coated with cooking spray.
The only difference is for these treats your gonna make a little space for the peeps when you’re pressing the rice krispies into your pan. And then you just pour on the sprinkles. Lots and lots and lots of sprinkles!
Cut your squares and you’ve got the cutest little Easter snacks. These are perfect for classroom treats or wrap a few up for a quick teacher gift idea. Sneak them in your kid’s lunchbox for a fun surprise. Save a few for yourself!
Rice Krispies Treats with Peeps Marshmallows Recipe
- 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 package (10 oz., about 40) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows OR 4 cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
- PEEPS marshmallows
- sprinkles
Directions
- In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
- Â Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal and stir until well coated.
- Â Evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Make space for Peeps and press into treats. Let cool. Cut into 2-inch squares.
