I love my job! I get to style things and make them look pretty, whether it’s a party tablescape, a piece of home decor, or the perfect look for an event. So fashion styling is just another natural element that excites my brain and gets my creative juices flowing. That’s why I’m so excited to share with you guys a few of my favorite Rent the Runway looks and how to wear them for whatever occasion you have coming up.

They’ve got tons of gorgeous dresses, labels all the celebrities love, and you can wear them too for a fraction of the price. Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Derek Lam, Marni, Cynthia Rowley and lots more. I’ll be picking out a few of my favorites and giving you the scoop on each piece.
First up, I fell completely in love with the Coral Stacie dress by Shoshanna. It’s a beautiful peach pink color and has the prettiest macrame detailing. I was worried it might be uncomfortable, but it actually is well lined and stretchy for a smooth fit you can move around in. This is such a versatile piece, you could wear it to a baby or bridal shower, to a spring wedding or a work function where you want to dress up without feeling overdressed. It has that ladylike look and feel and reminds me of so many of the sheath styles that Princess Kate wears.
Dress notes: I wore a size 2R and it was a good fit. The 0R was not available but I think it would have been a better fit for me, especially at the waist.
Next, the White Minerals Dress by Elliatt is made for an hourglass figure. I got so many looks and compliments when I wore this dress. It definitely hugs all your curves and accentuates your waistline. I was worried about the white being thin, but it’s actually a thick, stretch material with good structure. The fabric feels a bit like the scuba type dresses, a strong stretchy fit but not too heavy. Just enough to hide any underwear lines and look smooth and fitted. My only note for this dress is that it is long and would be more flattering on someone taller with longer legs. I’m 5’5 with a long torso and short legs so I felt like it was a bit long for me, but I loved wearing it with heels and felt fabulous.
Dress notes: I wore a size Small and it was a great fit. Length is long, looks best with heels.
And finally, this Elizabeth and James Virginia sheath dress was my husbands favorite! I loved it too, it’s definitely on the sexier side. The color is a dark navy blue and it has a unique texture. This dress is snug and runs on the smaller side but the fabric is thick and forms to your body perfectly. Fits like a glove, with just enough give to move comfortably but hold everything in. The cut-outs are edgy and flattering without showing too much and I loved the length, it hit below my knees like a fitted pencil skirt. I wore this to a dinner party and got lots of rave reviews, especially my husband who told me I should just keep this one because he thought it was “smokin’ hot” lol!
Dress notes: I typically wear a size 0 or 2, but ordered a 4 because reviews marked this dress ran small and tight at bust. The 4 was a perfect fit for me.
So my first Rent the Runway set was a three out of three win! Check back soon, I’ll be sharing more of my favorite pieces from holiday dresses (hello sparkles!) to outerwear that makes a statement. And please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about any of these dresses.
