Shark Strike RC, the latest from Little Tikes, is an exciting new remote control toy with lots of cool features. We tested this toy out to share our thoughts with you guys….
My boys love things that go! Cars, trucks, airplanes, drones – if it's got wheels or some way to make it move they want to get their hands on it. So when we got a peek at the Shark Strike toy in our unboxing they could hardly wait to get it out of the packaging and ready to roll.
This toy is a great size for small kids but also has plenty of fun features bigger kids will like. It's recommended for ages 3 and up. No small parts to worry about coming off and the bright colors and details are eye-catching and exciting, not too baby-ish but not too scary.
A few cool features:
- 360 degree spin
- simple remote control easy to use
- sharks mouth chomps open and shut
- plays music and sounds
It's pretty easy to maneuver this guy. He speeds around and makes turns surprisingly well. Forward, reverse, left, right or spin in a circle. You can also make his mouth open and shut.
Great timing for this toy to show up. We just finished Shark Week and learning all about sharks so this was a fun way to add some play to our lessons. Brady is also at the age where he's curious about the mechanics and inner-workings of everything. It's neat to see him inspect the wheels and wonder out loud what makes them spin and how to remote controls the movement without a cord. And thank goodness for Google because I realize usually I have no good answers for some of his questions and need to learn myself!
Look at those faces! Nothing like having a robot shark speeding after your tiny toes. He had Beckham running and squealing all afternoon.
After a week of play this is still a draw, which is RARE for my kids. So I'm rating this one as an awesome toy for kids. Makes a great birthday gift or go ahead and grab it for Christmas.
