BJs Menu Favorite Apps, Pasta, Pizza and Pizookies

BJs menu is pretty big. With a variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pasta and main dishes, there’s something for everyone. Plus they have great specials and of course, the PIZOOKIE! In this post we’ll share a few of our favorites and highlight menu items that you might like to try….

Family Friendly Restaurants

First, let’s start with a little basic info. Our BJ’s Brewery and Restaurant is in Winston Salem, on the outer circle of Hanes Mall. They have plenty of parking and while I’m sure it’s busy most nights and weekends, our visit was on weekday afternoon well after the lunch crowd. So we had the place almost to ourselves.

Straightaway, our friendly server filled us in on specials and pointed out a few BJs menu items that are popular. We decided to start with mozzarella sticks,ahi tuna and lettuce wraps. The appetizers came out quickly and looked very tasty.

My son is a big fan of mozzarella sticks. You can’t really go wrong with melted cheese, right? BJ’s are made with a garlic butter breading which makes them even better than most. The portion size is nice for sharing as well.

The ahi tuna was fresh and delicious. As were the lettuce wraps, which came with a soy sauce and a citrus sauce that were excellent.

BJ’s is known for their signature deep dish pizza we decided to give the pepperoni one a try. It arrived at the table looking just like a pizza should, all melted cheese and smelling like a dream. Indeed, the deep dish crust is very good, soft and chewy dough that soaks up just enough of the sauce and really packs a flavorful bite. I would love to try the five meat pizza of the Sweet Pig, I’m sure they are both great as well.

Desserts

Finally, it was SO HARD to save room for dessert, but we knew we had to give the PIZOOKIE a try so we did our best. What’s a pizookie you ask? It’s BJ’s signature dessert, a cookie baked like a pizza. They offer a variety of fantastic flavors and mini versions as well. We ordered the Monkey Bread Pizookie, the Cookies N Cream Pizookie and the Chocolate Chip Pizookie.

Undoubtedly, they were AMAZING! Seriously, like the best warm cookie you’ve ever had paired with a spoonful of ice cream. It’s rich and decadent, comforting in the way you want a dessert to be. Perfect for sharing!

Our final thoughts on BJ’s Brewery and Restaurant- it’s a great family friendly restaurant with a huge menu that would make everyone happy. We enjoyed our meal and are excited to visit again and try out more of their menu.

Pizza

Deep dish gourmet five meat, pepperoni extreme, vegetarian pizza, barbeque chicken pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, combo pizza, chicken bacon ranch pizza, great white pizza, sweet pig pizza.

Handcrafted Burgers
