Clayton Homes
I’ve spent plenty of time pining away for the perfect home, fantasizing about all the features that would make our house a place where we would love spending time. Big, open floor plan so we could welcome guests and entertain. A grand, luxurious staircase from Pear Stairs that can act as the centre point of the home. A bright, spacious kitchen with lots of cabinets and a large island where my family can gather at the start and end of each day. A soaking tub to sink into and let all my cares wash away in a warm, bubbly bliss.
So when I came across these beautiful pictures I was so surprised to find that these are actually manufactured homes! Can you believe it? I had no idea that manufactured homes offered so many modern features and options for customization. But it’s true! You can own the house of your dreams, with all the bells and whistles, at an affordable price.

Affordability
Homeownership is a dream for many. Unfortunately, there is an affordable housing crisis in America, and it continues to worsen. Year over year the average price of a new home increases.
Currently, the U.S. Census bureau indicates that the average price of a new site-built home with land is approaching $370,000. This makes homeownership unattainable for many deserving families. The average price of a new manufactured home without land as of 2017, also according to the U.S. Census Bureau, is $71,800. At Clayton, they believe everyone should get the chance to Have it made and that is what this initiative is all about – buyers don’t have to sacrifice beautiful design or quality for an affordable home.
Modular Homes for Sale
Why are manufactured homes so much more affordable?
Building materials and name brand appliances are purchased in bulk and distributed to the network of building facilities nationwide, utilizing economies of scale to forward the savings on to customers.
Building efficiencies inside the facilities, like production line assembly and recycling of extra materials, also aid in driving down the overall cost of construction.

Wow! Manufactured homes? They do look luxury. What a great option.
These ideas are awesome and I will never turn down a way to save money 🙂
When we were house hunting we looked at some really beautiful manufactured homes. I was surprised how nice they were. In my mind I was thinking they would be more like a mobile home. We had a hard time finding land to build on and ended up buying an older home and renovating. What a long process.
Yep. This is me – swooning over gorgeous homes with white tones, barn doors, killer floors, and a kitchen built for a chef. Loved this post! XO
Such a beautiful house and it really looks neat, I’m so happy If I have a home like this.
