As much as I love styling there are quite a few spaces in our home that could really use a makeover. We are currently in our “in-between” home so I haven’t invested much time and effort in decorating because we plan to move. However, I’m a girl who needs things to be pretty so walking into unfinished rooms was starting to drive me crazy.

Since it doesn’t make sense to switch things up with new furniture just to have to pack it all up again, I decided I would work in a few mini makeovers that would make our home feel a bit more cozy. Starting with the bedroom, a space that really needed a little TLC.

I love white linens, but they don’t do much to add personality to the room. Searching online I finally found the perfect pieces to brighten up our bed and make it look more stylish. Browsing through the Annie Selke fall collection I fell in love with so many beautiful pieces. I finally narrowed down my list of favorites to a few items that would transform our bedroom. The Brooklyn Matelassé Coverlet is just right for a bedding cover that will make both my husband and I happy. I like lightweight covers that still keep you just warm enough, and he hates thick bedspreads. This matelassé gives just enough warmth to feel cozy and comfortable all year round.
