Annie Selke designs beautiful home furnishings and home decor. I’ve been a fan of the brand for years and recently updated our bedroom with a few favorites….
As much as I love styling there are quite a few spaces in our home that could really use a makeover. We are currently in our “in-between” home so I haven’t invested much time and effort in decorating because we plan to move. However, I’m a girl who needs things to be pretty so walking into unfinished rooms was starting to drive me crazy.
Since it doesn’t make sense to switch things up with new furniture just to have to pack it all up again, I decided I would work in a few mini makeovers that would make our home feel a bit more cozy. Starting with the bedroom, a space that really needed a little TLC.
Annie Selke Home Decor
I love white linens, but they don’t do much to add personality to the room. Searching online I finally found the perfect pieces to brighten up our bed and make it look more stylish. Annie Selke’s designs combine modern luxury with comfort and quality. Her line of bedding, rugs, sleepwear and accessories are trendy yet timeless, giving your home a unique, effortlessly classic feel.
Browsing through the Annie Selke fall collection I fell in love with so many beautiful pieces. I finally narrowed down my list of favorites to a few items that would transform our bedroom. The Brooklyn Matelassé Coverlet is just right for a bedding cover that will make both my husband and I happy. I like lightweight covers that still keep you just warm enough, and he hates thick bedspreads. This matelassé gives just enough warmth to feel cozy and comfortable all year round.
The Hampton Ticking Linen Indigo Pillow adds a soft pop of color. I love how the washed-out denim blues and grays give it a classic, modern vibe. It’s also the most comfortable pillow to prop up against while I’m reading in bed.
And finally, my favorite piece of my mini-makeover is the Mara Knit Ivory Throw. It’s all chunky wool on one side, soft and smooth on the other. Perfect for adding texture and warmth to any room, whether it’s an extra layer on the bed or casually tossed over the arm of your sofa. This throw feels like Christmas morning, your favorite chunky sweater, a lazy afternoon lounging fireside with a mug of tea. It’s amazing!
What is a duvet cover?
It’s ok, I had to learn what a duvet is too lol! A duvet is like a comforter except that it is designed to be covered. So a duvet cover is essentially a sleeve for your duvet. Like a pillowcase that can be removed and washed.
