Best baby monitor on the market? With so many to choose from it can be hard to decide. We've tested out several and I can honestly say l found the new Motorola Halo to be impressive way beyond the rest.
We received the Motorola Halo in exchange for our honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Peace of mind is really what most parents want (and need!) when shopping for baby gear. That's why baby monitors are high up on the list of baby registry must-haves. At some point you will need sleep, more than just the few hours you steal in between feedings and diaper changes those first few months. Transitioning from bassinet to crib is usually harder for mama than baby. So being able to lay your little one down to sleep and still keep an eye on them from the other room provides the peace of mind you need. And it will allow you to get more sleep!
The Motorola Halo is a unique baby monitor that can attach to any cot or crib giving an unparalleled ‘parent’s eye view’ of the baby. At the heart of Halo is a 1080p camera with IR night vision to 10m with two-way audio activated by motion and audio sensors. With the home monitor you get a crystal clear view of your baby. Or you can access the camera on a smart phone via the partner Hubble-for-Baby app from anywhere you choose.
WiFi Baby Monitor – Access Streaming Camera View from Anywhere
The Hubble App was specifically developed for all Motorola connected products and unlocks many features to help parents of newborns and infants.
Portable Baby Monitor
The Motorola Halo camera also doubles as a portable monitor and can easily be detached from the cot/crib mount and positioned anywhere in the home, making it both a fixed and mobile solution. So I can set it up in our bedroom downstairs when our baby is napping in the swing or keep an eye on him playing on his play mat in the living room while I'm making lunch in the kitchen.
Hubble-for-Baby App – Track Baby's Sleep and More!
The Hubble-for-Baby app has several features to help parents track and monitor baby's development. The app allows any connected Motorola baby monitor to record sleep and gives parents access to a tracking diary, expert sleep advice, in-depth sleep analytics and smart zoning.
Nursery Light Show Projector and Night Light
I love the full, overhead view that this camera gives us so I can see everything clearly. Another feature that our baby really loves is the sky projection on the ceiling. You can also play preloaded lullabies, soothing sounds or even bedtime stories stored on the monitor.
In addition to the camera, the cot/crib mount has a choice of ambient soft glow light settings and a night sky ‘virtual mobile’ to project sky scenes onto the nursery ceiling. The two-way audio can also be used to play lullabies and other soothing sounds direct through the speaker from the Hubble-for-Baby services accessed through the partner app.
The Halo is available now online at BuyBuyBaby & Bed Bath and Beyond – other national retailers and e-tailers coming soon. MSRP: $299.00 (Including home monitor), $249.00 (Without monitor)
