Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I love everything from the yummy feast we enjoy to the family traditions that we celebrate each year. So many of my fondest holiday memories are of time spent in the kitchen helping make family recipes and baking treats while we talk and catch up with one another. Now that my little guy is a bit older he loves helping in the kitchen, so this Thanksgiving he’ll get to share in those holiday traditions and making memories of our own. Starting with Thanksgiving morning.

Holiday Traditions We Celebrate Each Year - Cinnamon Rolls for Breakfast and watching the parade

Our Thanksgiving morning tradition goes like this:

Simple enough, but that’s what makes Thanksgiving special. It’s the time of the year to celebrate the simple gifts that bring us together and create memories. And food has a wonderful way of making memories stick. I can close my eyes and smell the cinnamon rolls baking in the oven on Thanksgiving morning. It’s like I’m right there in our old kitchen, standing in my pajamas staring at the oven and anxiously awaiting those sweet rolls to finish.

Once the buns were out of the oven we all shared the extra important, extra tasty task of icing them. And once the last cinnamon bun had been covered with sweet frosting we got to lick the spoon. I imagine the smile that spreads across a child’s face while he licks the frosting spoon is universal and the same. Pure joy, pure delight. A mouthful of amazingness, a memory in the making.

My son spotted the Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls with Icing right off the bat while we were grocery shopping at Walmart. He loves the Pillsbury™ dough boy and thinks he’s just the cutest thing ever. I have to agree. I mean who doesn’t love that little guy?

Pillsbury™ has always been a part of my holiday baking memories. Cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, crescent rolls…. we love them all! It’s a quality and taste we know, love and trust. It’s kinda like the Pillsbury dough boy is a part of our family! He’s always hanging out in the fridge or at the kitchen counter, kinda like a few of my cousins 🙂 wink wink! I’ll show you a little secret that your kids will love! You can turn those classic Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls into pumpkins, and it’s so easy even a three-year-old can help. Shape your Pillsbury™ Cinnamon Rolls dough into mini pumpkins and pinch the tops to create a pumpkin stem. Bake as directed on the packaging. You can also add orange food coloring to the icing to make orange pumpkinsHoliday Traditions We Celebrate Each Year - Cinnamon Rolls for Breakfast and watching the parade
