Back to school is just around the corner and I’m getting a head start on making this year easy and well-organized. One of the biggest struggles with getting out the door in the morning is packing up lunch for my little one. But with a little planning and prep work we are going to make mornings more simple and successful from the start. Start strong, plan strong is the way to win when it comes to back-to-school! The key to packing a great lunch starts with stocking up on our favorite grab-and-go items at Target. We love the delicious NABISCO snacks! They’re an easy addition for lunches and they come in a variety of options.
I’ve pinned lots of cute bento box lunch ideas so I have a master list to refer to when making lunch. ZIPLOC® brand has lots of containers that come in sizes that are great for packing up perfect lunch portions. They are the key to keeping things organized and triumphing over the chaos. Plus they make it easy to pull-together a bento box lunch in minutes.
Pizza is a universal kid favorite and this one is super easy to make. Spread pizza sauce over a piece of naan bread, add cheese and your favorite toppings and pop in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese. I added a Mott’s 100% Apple Juice Pouch to our lunch box. They taste great and they come in apple, apple white grape, apple mango, and apple cherry flavors . Add a ZIPLOC® brand bag of broccoli and a small container of ranch, animal crackers and a bottle of water and lunch is done! I love to make Brady’s lunches a little more special by adding a sweet note. I doodle out a cute message to him in the morning and stick it in his lunch with an easy-to-make pipe cleaner shape. It’s a simple, crafty way to send him off with something cute and he loves it! He even makes me a cute message too sometimes.
You can shape the pipe cleaner into all kinds of quick and easy shapes: Hearts, robots, flowers, stars…..

I love the idea of making your own bento box. There are those luncheable options, but they’re so full of sodium. This looks so much better. And what kid isn’t going to want a pizza bento box lunch?!
My son’s not in school yet, but he likes to eat, so I might as well give these lunches as a try! Looks like a good mix.
These are great! My kiddos are all grazers who like a little bit of everything and bento box lunches are the way to go! I love all the options and variety!

what a cute idea! I love the Naan pizza. We have done something similar only with the mini naan bread to make individual pizzas. I don’t pack a lunch yet since my daughter is in Pre-k and they actually provide food, but next year I will have to start
When my daughters were in public school, I’d always send them with carefully curated lunches, with little notes, and cute little picks to pick up their fruit, and cheese cubes up with. I sort of miss doing that now. One is in college, and I homeschool the other. Maybe I should break out the lunch supplies and make my homeschooled one something!
I think the process for unpacking lunch from a Bento box is plain cool. I love the note, too, I think these little bits of encouragement are fun!
What a fun idea for bento boxes. I’ve got my grand kids this week so I’m on a hunt to find fun ways to fix their lunches. I’ll have to try your ideas this week.

Thanks for the ideas. We are about to go full steam ahead into lunch packing and it gets to be so boring after a while.
Yum! Your son must have the best lunch at the table every day! What kid wouldn’t want pepperoni pizza for lunch! That’s so cool 🙂
Yummy, I want a bento box of my own because I love how your kids lunch is so much better than your average sandwiches and crisp combo! x
The kids don’t have packed lunches here in Sweden but I love your ideas, especially the pizza made out of naan bread – fabulous idea!
