Packing for a week long vacation can be overwhelming. You need a swimsuit of course, but what about coverups? And day dresses. And outfits for dinner or enjoying a night out. That’s why I love shopping for transitional pieces that work well for whatever the weather or occasion. With a few staples and accessories you can take your daytime shopping dress all the way to dinner. Or a pool coverup to casual brunch at a corner cafe. It’s all in how you wear it and what feels most comfortable to you.
I wore this swim cover-up dress on the first day of our cruise. It was the perfect outfit to change into after we boarded the ship and spent awhile by the pool before setting sail. It’s very lightweight. made of swimsuit material and UPF 50 sun protection.
Resort Wear That’s Stylish and Comfortable
After waving farewell and leaving the land life behind I headed to the launch party for the new Oprah Magazine shops. The Lands End popup shop onboard featured a few of the fashions I’d ordered to wear on the cruise and I found a few more things I loved too! The Lands End team were also available to help shoppers find the right swimsuit with custom sizing and styling.
Here are two of the swim cover-ups I sported onboard. They were great for hanging out by the pool, enjoying lunch on the upper deck and catching the sunsets before dinner.
Lands End Looks from My Cruise Week
Our first destination on our HAL + Oprah Magazine Caribbean cruise — Key West! I wore this aqua blue embellished tunic for our day exploring this charming little place. It was stylish and comfortable, great for a day of shopping and site seeing. I love the color pop!
Swimwear and Cover-ups That Keep You Covered
Half Moon Cay Island has such a laid back, tropical paradise vibe. This swim cover-up dress worked great for having cocktails at the pirate cove bar, dipping my toes in the water and taking a stroll on the white sandy beach.
Sun protection is so important and sometimes you don’t have time to slather on the sunscreen. That’s why I love the convenience of wearing a rash guard. This palm leave print is so stylish and kept me covered while we were outside onboard our cruise. You spend a lot of time enjoying the sun while you’re on a cruise and you need easy, comfortable ways to keep yourself covered and stay cool.
Saying goodbye to my week in paradise was sad, but at least I have plenty of memories and a wardrobe that will take me through the summer in style!
