I travel a lot for work. Between all the conferences, media events and visiting family-friendly destinations for our travel blog, I’m on the road a few times a month. The wearable device comes fully-loaded with four cameras, a microphone, bright lights, GPS tracking, loud siren, impact sensors and a panic button with 24/7 emergency response. For those of you who don’t have a home security system, or for frequent travelers who stay in hotels often, Blinc also has sound/motion detectors for home defense. The Blinc device can be connected to Occly’s 24/7 Emergency Response Team, which will receive all the audio and visual footage sent from your device, as well as your location, which is pinpointed by the Blinc’s GPS tracker. When the alarm on the device is triggered, the Emergency Response Team will call within seconds to make sure you are ok. If you are in danger, they can immediately dispatch authorities to your location. Friends and family are also notified of your alarm via text message.

App users can mark high-risk areas for other users to be aware of and avoid, and each app user will be notified of an alarm being triggered within the surrounding area, just like an Amber Alert.
