I have been compensated by General Mills for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m amazed at just how much my little boy eats in a day! He packs in three solid meals plus a few snacks and still seems to be hungry all the time. Kids are busy, they burn off a ton of energy and need to refuel to keep going. From breakfast to bedtime I’m making meals for this kiddo so he can play all day and get all the things his growing body needs.
Keeping the fridge and pantry stocked is essential so I can pack his lunches and put together a quick bite when he starts to growl. I try to shop for better choices when it comes to picking the foods we eat and try to buy natural and organic products when possible. That used to mean shopping at two or three stores just to find the brands we love, but I can finally find them all in one place.
Did you know Walmart carries brands like LÄRABAR, Annie’s and Cascadian Farms? My son LOVES Annie’s organic snacks, the fruit snacks and cheddar bunnies are a staple in our house. I’m a big fan of Cascadian Farms cereal and we all love the LÄRABARs. Apple pie is my go-to grab for when I’m on the go and we can’t keep the cookie dough flavor from disappearing.
Stocking up on snacks you can feel good about feeding your kids will make it easier for you to make good choices for yourself and for your family. I’m a much better eater when I can satisfy a craving with something at home versus grabbing fast food or eating junk just to stave off my hunger.
Another one of our favorites is the Food Should Taste Good Brand. They have an amazing line of tasty chips that are packed with whole grains and more. I love the Sweet Potato ones and the Cheddar tortilla chips, both are great for when you just want to snack on something crunchy. I mix up this delicious dip to spread on them and it’s the perfect food to nibble on in between meals or when I want to serve up a tasty bite.
