NFL Fan Style – A couple of weeks ago I shared a big announcement on Facebook and Instagram. This year I was asked to join the NFL FanStyle Council and I couldn’t be more excited! I love football! Getting the opportunity to share ideas and interact with fans on everything from fashion and food to football family fun is something I’m thrilled to be a part of.

What better way to celebrate kicking off the season than by hosting a fantasy football draft party for a few of my favorite gals. I sent out the invites and started pulling together ideas.

Fantasy Football Draft Party

Our Sunday Funday party started with coffee and brunch. Because Sundays are for football, coffee and brunch, right? I showed you guys the cute coffee bar I set-up for the party a few posts back. If you haven’t seen it, check it out.

I made chicken and waffle bites, and these cute chocolate dipped strawberry footballs. They were both a big hit gave us a chance to nosh and mingle before we started making our draft selections.

After a little friendly competition with our fantasy football draft picks and after everyone had their sugar and caffeine fix we headed out to the backyard for some football fun. Half of my crew are die-hard Carolina Panthers fans while the other half are Patriots fans (or just Tom Brady fans so that went with the Pats, lol!)

Being born and raised in NC and moving back here to call the Carolinas home, I’m a Panthers fan too. But my husband turned me into a Patriots fan ten years ago when we met in a little Boston dive bar. I grew to love the Boston teams through years of slinging drinks and sharing shots with Patriots and Red Sox fans. We did a lot of laughing and crying, and drinking together in that bar. It’s a whole other kind of love and I called the people who made that place special my family.

So that’s why you’ll see a lot of Patriots and Panthers inspired style and trends on here. Because I’ve got lots of love for them both and I’m excited to share that pride with my Panthers and Patriots fans, and all NFL fans who have passion and love for their team. That’s the wonderful thing about football, it gives us a true sense of family and a passion for something that brings people together.
