Halloween blow up decorations are a quick and easy way to spook up your yard and give your neighbors something to gawk at for the whole month of October. September too if you’re really Halloween extra like that. I am and I love haunting out our house and our outdoors with Halloween yard decorations so I get excited when I find ones that add a lot of eye candy and only take seconds to set-up. Like these…..

Outdoor Halloween Decorating Tips

  1. Make sure your HOA or neighborhood committee is cool with you haunting out your house before you head to the store and start stocking up on creepy stuff. Because fighting fines from the HOA are a real nightmare.
  2. Power cords. You’ll need the heavy duty outdoor kind that are made for outdoor decorations. Don’t go cheap and blow out the electrical, ala Griswold style. That’s a whole other nightmare you want to avoid. Trust me people! I speak from experience.
  3. Properly secure your Halloween inflatables. Theres a reason they put instructions in those packages along with parts your husband doesn’t think you really need. You do. Ignore him, read the instructions and follow them. The last thing you want is to look out the window and see your 8 foot grim reaper blowing in the wind and heading straight for your neighbors new car. Or house. Or taking off down the street. Again, I know these things!
  4. Hook your inflatables up to a timer. Not only will it save you some money it will also help conserve energy.

So now that you know the rules, let’s get to work. It’s never too early to start planning for Halloween. I mean there’s this whole Christmas in July thing now so we might as well start talking about Halloween right after the Easter bunny hops away. And another tip, Halloween stuff sells out quickly in stores and they don’t restock because they’ve go the Christmas stuff lined up and ready to rock at the stroke of midnight. So if you’re excited about that giant jack skellington inflatable or really love that inflatable dragon halloween decoration, get it before it’s gone. The Halloween hype is real and you want to be ahead of the game.
