Disney Halloween movies always get me in the mood for spooky season! My kids love watching Halloween movies. We start our Halloween movie marathon watching in September, we love Halloween that much! These are a few of our favorite Halloween themed Disney movies to watch together….

Get ready for some spooky fun when you watch these five classic Disney Halloween movies!

The classic Disney Halloween movie “Hocus Pocus” was released in 1993. It tells the story of three witches who use magic tricks to trick children into believing that they’re dead.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

In 1995, Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” came out. This film follows Jack Skellington, a skeleton with a big head, as he tries to save Halloweentown from being destroyed by an evil pumpkin king.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

It’s Halloween night in Halloweentown, where everyone is celebrating the holiday. But there’s trouble brewing in the town, because the Pumpkin King has returned to take control of the land. He wants to destroy Halloweentown so he can rule the world. To stop him, Jack must find his magical hat before it’s too late.

Halloweentown (1998)

This movie was released in 1998, and it’s one of the first Disney Halloween movies ever made. In this film, Jack Skellington returns to Halloweentown to claim his rightful place as king. He also plans to destroy the pumpkin patch and turn Halloweentown into an amusement park. Luckily, Jack needs the help of his friends to defeat the Pumpkin King and save Halloweentown.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)

It’s hard to believe that this movie came out more than 20 years ago. If you’re looking for something scary, then this is the perfect movie for you. It’s based on Washington Irving’s short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The main character Ichabod Crane has been cursed by the headless horseman, who wants him to find the head of his horse. To do so, he must travel through the dark woods at night.

Monsters Inc. (2001)

This movie was released in 2001, but it still holds up today. It’s one of Pixar’s first animated features and it tells the story of two monsters named Mike and Sulley who work together to save the world from an evil corporation called Oozma Kappa.
In 2001, Disney released “Monsters, Inc.” which featured two monsters named Mike and Sulley who work at Monsters Incorporated. The film follows them as they try to find a new place to live after being fired from their jobs.
