Teaching Our Toddler to Swim Step by Step Starting with SwimWays Float

Earlier I shared that one of the most important skills we are working on with Brady this summer is learning how to swim. With beach vacations, lake trips and pool playdates, we spend a LOT of time in the water. I really wanted him to be comfortable and feel safe so we started with the SwimWays Baby Spring Float to introduce him to the idea.

Going from splashing along the edge to treading water can be a little scary for mommy and baby. With the help of the baby float and the Teach Me to Swim program created by SwimWays we’ve both gained more confidence. Brady loves to kick his feet and paddle around in the float and I’m much more at ease knowing that he is secure. The Baby Spring Float has a soft mesh seat and a low center of gravity that supports him while he plays.

I love that it has an adjustable and removable UPF 50+ sun shade that blocks the sun while he’s having fun. It folds up compact and easy so it’s easy to travel with as well.

Following the Three Steps from the SwimWays website make’s teaching your little one to swim fun and easy. I was amazed at how quickly Brady learned to kick and propel himself along. With the baby float he has conquered the first step and is well on his way to being a great swimmer.

I’m so proud of my little fish, watching him gain confidence and a love for the water. He can’t wait to get in and he’s even started to bravely dip his head under while holding his breath. We’re having so much fun!
