I love our cat, but cleaning the cat litter box…. not so much! Cleaning the litter box was one the tasks I made my husband agree to take on when we decided to bring our furry friend home. So when the Litter Robot showed up at our door I’m pretty sure no one was more excited than him, lol!

I came across the Litter Robot at an electronics tradeshow and I thought it was a brilliant product for cat owners. Along with alleviating the annoyance of scooping litter, it also reduces odor and is great for multiple cats who prefer a fresh litter box.

Unboxing the Litter-Robot was part of the fun. We love unboxing packages, it’s exciting to see what surprise is inside. My little helper was anxious to see how this robot worked. Me too, and I was happy to see that it comes ready to go right out of the box. No parts to assemble, no complicated mechanics to maneuver. Just pull it out and plug it in.

Of course before we plugged it in my curious companion wanted to fully inspect the Litter-Robot and see what it looked liked inside and out.

Once you’ve plugged in the Litter-Robot the next step is to fill it with litter. Pour a clumping cat litter into open circle to the line around the black bottom. Now the Litter-Robot is ready for your cat to use.

Place the Litter-Robot in the same area as your cat’s old litter box so that he can familiarize himself with it. You can try moving it another spot after he has become accustomed to it.

Our cat had no problems using the Litter-Robot. He made his way up the ramp, climbed inside and got to business.

How It Works

A clean cycle will start automatically after your cat exits the Litter-Robot. The patented sifting process automatically separates the waste from the clean litter. Waste is deposited into a carbon-filtered drawer to reduce litter box odors. When the drawer needs to be emptied the “empty” light on your Litter-Robot will tell you.

Open the drawer and pull up the bag to dispose of your litter waste. Replace with a fresh bag.

That’s it. It’s that simple and easy. Hooray!

In review, the cat litter box is freaking awesome. Well, those are actually the words of my husband. He is beyond thrilled that he has been replaced as the official cleaner and maintenance guy of our cat’s litter box. He can’t stop telling people about the Litter-Robot. It’s like Christmas came early!

The Litter-Robot is an excellent product for cat owners. It frees you from the unpleasant task of cleaning out the cat litter box daily. You can use any clumping litter your cat prefers. Designed to prevent mold, the Litter-Robot nearly eliminates the odor and smell commonly associated with cat litter box.
