It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Especially if you’re a child. The countdown to Christmas has already begun in our house. It pretty much kicked off right after Halloween. My little guy always asks what holiday is next when we’ve turned the page on the last one and although Thanksgiving might be something exciting to look forward to if you love food like I do, let’s be real. It’s not the holiday that gets most kiddos excited.
So now that the holiday season is upon us it’s of course time to start making the list. I remember the excitement of sitting down and writing out my Christmas wish list as a child. It’s one of the things I loved most about this time of year. And it’s just as exciting as a parent to watch my little one’s face light up when he starts naming off all the toys he’s asking Santa for.
We recently took a tour of the toy department at Kohl’s so he could start gathering ideas for what he want this year. It didn’t take long for him to fill up atleast a page with toys that he wants. From the latest LEGO sets to Hot Wheels and lots more, he picked out a dozen cool toys he can’t wait to tell Santa he “really, really, really, really wants.”
His top three holiday toy picks:
- LEGO City Arctic Air Transport Set. We love LEGOS! I can’t lie, this is one toy that I actually get excited about buying too! I loved building with LEGOS when I was a little kid, and I still do. LEGOS are something we can sit down and work on together as a family. And as my son gets older he moves on to more complex sets so it’s fun to see him take on new challenges and use his imagination.
- Imaginext Batcave. Because super heroes are life when you are a five year old boy! It’s all about super hero everything in our house. This cool Batcave playset will entertain my child for hours. He couldn’t be more excited about this toy!
- Hot Wheels Auto Lift Expressway with diecast cars with track and cars. Second to super heroes would be his love for Hot Wheels! Cars and trucks are soooo cool when you’re a kid. He loves to build tracks and race his favorite cars up and down, all around the living room.
I love shopping at Kohl’s! They have something for everyone on my list and best of all I can buy online and pickup in store. No fighting crowds or waiting in line. I can shop for everything at home in my pajamas any time of day. And I even earn Kohl’s cash when I shop that I can use to shop for more gifts, or something for myself. Because moms, let’s be honest. We take care of all of the holiday shopping and everything else. We deserve to treat ourselves to something as well!
