It’s officially boot season! Time to bring out all your cute boots and put away the summer sandals. I’m sharing my how I stay on my feet all day without sacrificing comfort and style, even when the colder weather settles in. Thank you to our friends at PEDS® for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love boots! Tall boots, short boots, booties and wedge boots. But as I’ve gotten older I’ve had to make a few changes to my style so that my feet aren’t completely killing me at the end of the day. I still want to look cute but I don’t want to come home and kick off my shoes in misery.
And even though I work from home I’m still on my feet most of the day. From preschool drop-off to pick-up, playdates, after-school activities and sports to dinner and bedtime (finally!!)….. It’s go go go.
I’ve found that the key to staying cute and comfortable is finding the right shoe styles and the right socks. I love PEDS® socks because they are so comfortable and well-made. They are the first layer of defense when it comes to keeping my feet warm and cozy. And they come in a ton of versatile styles and colors so I can wear them with anything.
Finding socks that fit your shoe style is important to confidently wearing your footwear and feeling fashionable. Ladies, I know you know what I’m talking about. We’ve all seen people wearing the wrong socks for their shoes. It isn’t cute!
PEDS® makes no-show socks that don’t slip, so I can wear them with my favorite flats or cute new booties with the cut-out sides. Or I can pull on a pair of trouser socks to make my knee-high boots more comfortable.

A few more tips for footwear that will keep you comfortable and fit your busy momlife…
- Choose boots that have a solid wide heel for more support.
- Go a half size up for winter footwear for days when you need bulkier socks to keep your feet warm.
- Start with neutrals when building up your shoe capsule. A pair of black boots and a pair of tan/brown boots will work for most any outfit.
- Select socks that will hide well inside your shoe, just like a liner. No show socks for low sneakers, athletics styles, flats and short booties. Ankle and calf length socks for tall boot styles.
PEDS® Socks also make the perfect gift for friends and family this holiday season. I’ll be slipping them in as stocking stuffers so everyone gets the gift of cozy, comfortable feet!
