When it comes to vacuum cleaners, I think I’m a pretty picky consumer. I need a vacuum that goes above and beyond the norm because the dirt and disaster we seem to track in is way beyond that of an average household. I’ve got a three-year-old who breeds crumbs, from the common goldfish cracker variety to the sneaky sandbox bombs he smuggles into the house. And a husband who enjoys any outdoor activity that involves covering himself in dirt and mud. I have to accept some of the credit as well for our collective accumulation of debris. My crafting projects quite often involve a plethora of glitter and chalk dust that spreads near and far across the floor.

So we need a super vacuum, one that will suck up the everyday dirt as well as the teeny tiny glitter pieces and things that hide in small crevices. We had recently tried out one of the expensive vacuums, you know the ones with the fancy design that promises to work magic, and we were disappointed. So I thought, well, this one will probably be a pretty good vacuum for doing pretty basic floor clean-ups.

I opened up the box and popped the pieces together. It’s a really easy set-up, just snap a few parts together and plug it in. I turned it on and was shocked when the vacuum actually started to pull away from my grip. Whoa! This this is powerful! First try I vacuumed our upstairs rug, the one that is cleanest and sees the least traffic. I was SHOCKED at what all it picked up. I mean, it was amazing how well this thing pulled dirt from the carpet.

And we can use it to tackle the car too! When the dust cup gets full I can dump it easily into the trash and the filters are washable so they never need replacing.
