Cheese just makes everything taste better, right? Almost all of my favorite recipes are made with cheese. Give me a good cheesy dish and I’m a happy girl. But it’s got to be real cheese! Great tasting meals start with cheese shredded fresh off the block. That’s why I love Sargento® Shredded Cheese. It’s always shredded from blocks of real, natural cheese.
I’m sharing a few of my favorite ways to enjoy real, natural cheese with recipes and meals made with just two bags of shredded cheese and a few fresh ingredients. Well keep reading, I’ve got some great ideas you’ll want to save to your Pinterest boards and recreate at home.
Breakfast Ideas – Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissants
This is one of my favorite fast and easy breakfast meals to make. I pick up fresh croissants from the grocery, fry up sausage and egg and add a little shredded cheese at the end. The melted cheese on top of the egg and sausage, the flaky croissant, it’s a mouth full of amazingness.
Sharp cheddar cheese gives this breakfast sandwich a rich, and cheesy flavor. My boys devour these every time I make them.

Potato salad is a classic picnic side dish that goes great with everything. Kick it up a notch with the fresh off the block flavor of Sargento® Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese. This is so easy to make and will have everyone coming back for seconds. Bake or boil red potatoes till ready to eat. Let them cool, then dice and mix with 1/2 cup of mayo and 1 cup of sour cream. Stir in crumbled bacon and chopped green onion and top with Sargento® Shredded Cheddar Cheese. Delicious!
Creamy Chicken, Spinach and Bacon Pasta Bake
Two things I simply couldn’t live without — pasta and cheese! Is there anything in the world better than a straight out of the oven bubbly pasta dish? It’s definitely top of the list. This pasta dish combines bowtie pasta with fresh ingredients like spinach, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and Sargento® Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese.
I heat up a cup of chicken stock and a cup of heavy cream, blend in half the Sargento® Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese and a tablespoon of butter to make a creamy base. Stir in chopped sundried tomatoes. Cooked bowtie pasta, chicken, spinach and mushrooms go in a baking dish and I pour the cheesy sauce over it all. Top with the other half of the bag of Sargento® Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese and bake for 20 minutes. A delicious family dinner that everyone will rave over.
Tasty BBQ Ideas — BBQ Chicken Nachos
And finally this BBQ Chicken Nachos recipe is perfect for parties, tailgating, family game night, after school snacking or dinnertime! It’s quick and easy, you can make it in just minutes. Grab two bags of Sargento® Shredded Cheese, a bag of tortilla chips, chicken and a few of your favorite fresh toppings and you’ve got everything you need to make this meal.
I use a blend of shredded cheddar and monterey jack to give my nachos a nice blend of flavors. Pop in the oven to melt the cheese and chicken. . Pull them out and top with barbecue sauce, red onion, cilantro and diced tomato. Serve up with a side of sour cream and watch them disappear.
