This Valentine’s Day we wanted to remind someone very special that we love her very much! My mother-in-law moved down from Maine at the end of the year to be closer to us and it’s been a blessing for us all, Brady especially. I love walking in the room and seeing them playing together, building neighborhoods out of blocks or coloring away. They’ve grown so close in the few months she’s been here and he loves spending time with her.

A few years ago, before we decided to move back to where I grew up, we had no family close by. We made a very big decision to change our careers, sell our house and change our lives so that our son could grow up surrounded by people he loves and who love him so much. We wanted him to know family as more than just the people we visit for the holidays.

And now he has his grandma close by too! Brady helped me pick out a lovely bouquet at ftd.com that we thought grandma would love. He chose the  Mixed Two Dozen roses with vase because he loves all the colors and said it would make grandma smile. I think it will too!
