First you’ll need to pick up a few things. I grabbed everything on my list at Walmart. They have all the different OREO flavors and lots of cute holiday decorations I can use to decorate.

Here’s the official recipe for OREO Cookie Balls
- Ingredients:
- 1 pkg (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened
- 36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
- 4 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
- Make it!
- MIX cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
- SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
- CUSTOMIZE it with your own ingredient additions or decorative skills.
- REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.
- Share and enjoy!
And here’s how you’re going to customize it to make Pecan Pie OREO Cookie Balls.
- Melt your chocolates in a double boiler or by microwaving at 50% power for 90 seconds.
- Dip your OREO cookie balls in melted candy
- Roll cookie ball in pecans and sprinkle with brown sugar
- Set on parchment paper
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes
Now for the turkey. Cut about 1/4th of your cantaloupe off so that it will sit flat. Take two skewers and stick them in the pear.
Dip the pear in melted chocolate candy and cover with sprinkles or crushed candy bar, your choice.
Stick a skewer into the center of the cantaloupe and carefully slide a cookie ball on. Then add a few more. Repeat for the other turkey feathers.
For the face I used a little frosting (or you could use candy melts) to apply the eyes and beak.
To fill in the turkey feathers I folded cupcake baking cups and stuck them on skewers.
Now you’ve got an awesome Thanksgiving centerpiece that everyone will gush over. He’s almost too cute to eat, but one taste of those delicious Pecan Pie Cookie Balls and they’ll be gobbled up quick.
