October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’m partnering with Bright Pink, a national non-profit organization uniquely focused on prevention and early detection to help women learn their risk for breast and ovarian cancer.

Breast Cancer Risk - Learn Your Personal Cancer RiskI’ve shared a little bit on here about how I’ve been personally touched by cancer. My mother passed away from cancer when I was thirteen. Sadly, we also lost my sister-in-law to breast cancer just a couple of years ago. She was far too young and left behind two daughters who were just entering their teen and pre-teen years. Losing her brought up so many emotions from losing my own mother. It also made me want to use my platform to bring more awareness to this cause and help shed light on the importance of early detection.
