I’m so excited to be home for the holidays! I love it when our whole family gets together and all the kids can play, celebrate and have a good time. This time of year is especially magical for the little ones. Their faces light up at the sight of all the presents under the tree and the promise of Santa Claus coming to town. It’s so important to me to embrace the wonder and give them a childhood filled with memories, so I try to make the holidays extra special.
Christmas Desserts Party
This year I planned a little Santa themed desserts party for the kids to enjoy while we watched Christmas movies and played games. While we were out doing some last minute shopping and getting groceries for our holiday dinner I stopped by Baskin-Robbins to pick out something yummy everyone would love. I love their ice cream cakes! I mean, who doesn’t love ice cream and cake combined, it’s the best of both worlds all-in-one.
Holiday Cakes and Ice Cream
Baskin-Robbins has so many delicious holiday-themed desserts it’s hard to choose just one. Maybe the Peppermint & Winter OREO® Cookies Polar Pizza with a double fudge brownie crust and Peppermint ice cream, topped with Winter OREO® Cookie Pieces and drizzled with marshmallow and fudge topping. Or maybe the Ganache Poinsettia Cake with the pretty poinsettia frosting, topped with Winter OREO®Cookies. Decisions decisions!
Too hard to pick just one, so I decided to bring home both. I knew the kids would go crazy over the Polar Pizza and the adults would enjoy the Ganache Poinsettia Cake for dessert. I couldn’t resist ordering some of the Peppermint Bark in the Dark, Baskin-Robbin’s ice cream flavor of the month.
OH what fun we had eating our cake and ice cream! While the kids all piled together watching Christmas classics, the adults shared memories of Christmas mornings past and the toys we remembered wishing and praying for as kids. Like the year I could hardly wait to wake up and see if Santa had brought me a Teddy Ruxpin and a Cabbage Patch doll. Or the Christmas we got our first Nintendo!
