Warm weather means outdoor fun, playing in the park, trips to the beach or  lounging by the lake…. and picnics!  I love packing a basket full of goodies, spreading a blanket in the shade and enjoying some yummy eats.  Hearty sandwiches, a cheese plate, maybe a bottle of wine or some refreshing flavored lemonade!  Whatever your outing calls for here are some great ideas for packing the perfect picnic.

- simple sandwich & snacks- wrap up some deli style sammies, a bag of chips and a bottle of sparkling lemonade

- salads in a jar- Â fill mason jars with some delicious salads- macaroni salad, chicken salad, broccoli salad, pasta salad, corn relish
- lite and refreshing- make a super power salad filled with greens, veggies, fruits and cheese ( try this yummy Strawberry Spinach Salad)
- make it a buffet- pack takeout boxes with a few buffet bar favorites
- just desserts- Â skip the serious stuff and go straight for dessert. Â A few slices of pie, sweet treats in mini jars, some fresh fruit and berries
- kid friendly- Â pack up a bunch of finger foods that are kid friendly favorites. Â Slice grilled cheeses into rectangles, chicken tender bites, peanut butter and jelly wraps, turkey and cheese rollups and fruit kabobs are all great ideas the little ones will love
