Last year was a little rough for us, but I’ve got my rose-colored glasses on and I’m optimistic this year is going to be awesome. So to celebrate the year ahead and all the big hopes and wishes I have for 2017 I’m sharing some ideas for throwing a bright and shiny NYE party.

Because what is NYE is you aren’t toasting friends and clinking glasses as the ball drop countdown begins at midnight, right? I’ve set-up a side bar for people to mix up cocktails and pour themselves a glass of good cheer. And I’ve got a signature cocktail that’s super easy and perfect for the celebrating.

Pour two ounces of pineapple juice into a fancy glass. Add two ounces of ZICO Natural Coconut Water and then top it off with prosecco for a bubbly finish.

I always us ZICO Natural Coconut Water because it’s 100% coconut water, not from concentrate and no sugar added. It’s the only brand that doesn’t add sugar or other ingredients to it’s unflavored coconut water. ZICO gives this cocktail a hint  of sweetness.

It’s not too sweet and not too strong. The bubbles give it a nice festive flair and it even has a pretty, pale color that makes it look swanky and sophisticated.

New Years Eve Party Ideas — How to Decorate Your Party Space

The cocktails are covered, so now let’s talk about how to glam up your party space. I love using backdrops to style my parties because it creates a big visual display that draws the eye of your guests and gives that wow factor. Believe it or not it’s not hard or expensive to make your own party backdrop wall. Choose a clear wall space to work with that’s out of the main line of party traffic but will be visible to everyone immediately. There are all kinds of decorations you can use to create a backdrop wall– tape tinsel streamers from ceiling to floor to cover your space or string a link of balloons together and create rows. For styling this soiree I used a roll of printed paper I ordered online. It’s a repeating gold sequin pattern that looks really shimmery and luxe, especially in photos.

I draped a little leftover Christmas tinsel across the table, put out some cute horns and confetti poppers and spread some glittered drink coasters all around. I love the cute “cheers” drink stirrers I found online. Only thing left to get this party started is a good New Years Eve playlist!
