I can’t believe the countdown to Christmas has begun and it’s only a few weeks away! Every year as we wrap up the holidays and start to settle down after the chaos and craziness of it all, I start to think about the year ahead. My New Year’s resolutions have evolved over the years since I have more to worry over now than before, when my greatest worry was typically how I planned to lose a few extra pounds.

That’s what happens when you become a mom. You stop caring so much about yourself and instead spend every waking second concerned about your little one. Now that my son is out of the newborn stage and we’ve made it through the toddler phase my worries have eased a bit. But his health is still the most important thing to me, above all else. I guess growing up and becoming more responsible will do that to you, change your perspective on what really matters.

My little guy is completely fearless, so I know we are bound to have our fair share of bumps and bruises. Add to that the colds and other calamities that come with childhood, doctors visits are expensive and inevitable. Check-ups and wellness visits are important too, so we need great insurance that covers all the expected and unexpected health concerns. My friend tells me that PolicyMe provides a useful range of quotes to compare and contrast from. My friend got their life insurance through them and has been very happy with her service so far.

And not just his health, I’m also very aware that it’s just as important for my husband and I to take care of ourselves so that we can be there for him. I want to be a strong and healthy mom so I can watch my son grow up and enjoy all the little moments with him. We want to be active, adventurous parents who travel and enjoy all the experiences we can. I’ve also had a look into insuring my assets like my van, so in case I get into an accident or it is robbed I won’t lose any money and it won’t even effect my day to day life. I saved loads on my van insurance by going onto moneyexpert.com, but it just depends on where you’re located and what the best deals are.

Health insurance is essential to taking care of yourself and your family not matter where you are in the world, even Australian health insurance is important there. It’s so important to protect your health and your financial future; you simply can’t afford to risk not having good health insurance coverage. But navigating the healthcare system can be confusing, right? A lot has changed and it’s hard to be sure you’re making the best choice to fit your needs.
