I’m excited to share some super cute party ideas and easy Christmas cookie recipes today you are gonna love! This party is bright and fun with lots of festive details from making a Gingerbread house centerpiece to a sweet way to set out milk and cookies for Santa.
Easy Christmas Cookies
Finding small holiday gifts everyone will love can be tough. I always go for something sweet, it’s the one thing I know won’t get tossed aside. Seriously, who doesn’t love cookies? I’m completely addicted to OREO cookies, you can always find them in our cookie jar at home. And maybe stashed away in my desk drawer, if I’m being totally honest 🙂
These snack boxes make perfect stocking stuffers, gifts for teachers or holiday party favors. They’re inexpensive so you can buy a bunch and give them out to everyone on your list. You can find them at WALMART by the check-out aisle and load up your cart on the way out. Whether it’s OREO cookies, Nutter Butter, RITZ crackers, or Chips Ahoy!, you’ll find something for everyone. Plus I’m gonna show you how you can wrap them up to make them extra special.
Gingerbread Party Ideas
This gingerbread theme is bright and colorful and works for throwing a fun kid’s party or sweet treat station for adults. I wrapped the snack boxes in Kraft paper and stacked them up to make a gingerbread house centerpiece. For the roof I used a piece of cardboard cut from a packaging box, added ribbon trimming and glued on circles punched from card stock paper.
OREO Cookie Recipes
Plates of cookies make great nibbles for guest to munch on. These chocolate covered OREO cookies are an easy Christmas cookie to make in minutes and they taste delicious.
Chocolate Covered OREO Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- package of OREO cookies
- bag of chocolate melts
- cookie sprinkles or candy decorations
Directions
1. Melt your chocolate over a double boiler or microwave according to package directions.
2. Line a tray with parchment paper
3. Dip OREO cookie in melted chocolate and place on parchment paper
4. Refrigerate for 15 minutes till chocolate hardens completely
Milk and Cookies Party Ideas
How cute are those milk and cookies? I tied a striped paper straw to glass milk bottles (find at your local craft store) with twine. Add a dollop of frosting to an OREO cookie and a candy decoration and you’ve got a treat Santa will love!
I wrapped all those snack boxes up with kraft paper, cut a strip of candy themed wrapping paper and taped across the center. Tie up with cute ribbon and hand em’ out, hostess with the mostess!
