So my little one just had a birthday, and ya’ll know how much I love birthdays! But I was a little sad putting together this party, I have to admit. It’s so cliche, but so true, the time really does fly. I can’t help but be a little weepy over how quickly my baby is growing up.

Going back through pictures it’s just amazing to me how much of a whirlwind this new motherhood thing is. Those first few months were a total blur. Honestly, having a c-section really threw me for a loop. I knew that was a possibility but it didn’t truly register until my doctor informed us that was the only option. Suddenly, everything I had imagined about childbirth changed. Recovering from a major surgery was not part of the plan either, but sometimes things don’t go quite the way your plan.

Add onto that the fact that we had a terrible first nursing experience which forced me to have to bottle feed my new baby and I was feeling like a total failure as a first-time mom. It’s hard, so much harder than you could ever imagine. And at the same time it’s the best thing you will ever experience. We had lots of messy moments, from daddy’s first diaper change to those first few bites of real food. I will never forget the faces either of them made.

Baby's First Year Milestones, Memories and Messes! A Mother's Guide to Thriving in the First Year of Having a Baby One of the most important things I’ve learned as a new parent is that peace of mind is priceless. It’s amazing how quickly you go from selfish to selfless, how suddenly your perspective shifts and you place the needs of this little person you’re in charge of above alllll else. My son has sensitive skin, something we learned from our first visit to the pediatrician. I am so thankful for brands like WaterWipes that make caring for my child a little bit easier. I don’t have to worry about how he may react to chemicals and irritants every time I change a diaper or clean up a mess because I know WaterWipes are pure and safe, They’re made from 99.9% Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract, with no harmful chemicals.

That’s why I love WaterWipes. Even now that my baby is not such a baby anymore, I still use and love WaterWipes because I know they are gentle enough to use on his softest spots, but also durable enough to handle the everyday messes.

WaterWipes made this awesome video of new moms sharing their memories and messy moments. One of the things I love about being a part of this wild and wonderful thing we call motherhood is that you find your tribe. There are a lot of incredible mommas out there just waiting to share their experiences and advice.
