One of the things I love most about fall is the kickoff of football season. We love it, so we can’t complain and it’s another reason to get the girls together!
This year I thought it would be fun to host a get-together with a few of my girlfriends to do our own draft party. What would a party be without the food and drinks? First things first….

SETTING UP A COFFEE BAR FOR YOUR PARTY

My day doesn’t begin until there’s a cup of coffee in my hand. I’m pretty sure I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love coffee, so I knew that setting up a coffee bar would be a great idea for my team. Plus with my Keurig® K250 brewer it’s so easy to make deliciously brewed beverages with the touch of a button.

I love this DIY Coffee Bar Cart featured over on Fresh Mommy Blog! She’s a coffee loving mama who shares lots of ideas for do-it-yourself projects and home design.

I love The Original Donut Shop® Coffee and clearly I’m not alone because it’s the #1 selling variety of K-Cup® pods in the U.S. So it was the easy choice for stocking up my coffee station.

I set out a tray of coffee mugs so guests could make hot or cold coffee drinks. Then I added a few accessories for flavoring: caramel syrup, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and milk creamer.

ICED COFFEE RECIPE

I used to be confused by the iced coffee craze until I tried it and now I’m completely in love! Iced coffee has been my summer jam and I’ll be sipping my cold coffee drinks until it gets cold outside. It’s so easy to make iced coffee too!

  • Fill a mug with ice. Pour in 4 ounces of milk or creamer.
  • Pour in 4 ounces of milk or creamer.
  • Brew one (1) K-Cup® pod of The Original Donut Shop® Coffee at the smallest cup setting (usually 4 oz.)
  • Pour the coffee over the milk and ice.
  • Stir to combine. Add sugar to sweeten to taste.

FANTASY FOOTBALL League DRAFT PARTY IDEAS

There are tons of ways to host your own fantasy football league draft party. Do a quick search and you’ll find a lot of resources, whether you prefer to do your own draft kit, print one off online, or go completely digital and use an app. Find a system that will fit your crowd.

I went the DIY route and created my draft board with a fold-out poster board and washi tape. Post-it notes, pencils, markers and mini clipboards are also handy helpers.

FOOTBALL PARTY FOOD IDEAS

Need a few good nibbles to keep your game day crowd going? Since our party kicked off earlier in the afternoon, I went with brunch bites that were tasty and easy to pull together. Chicken &waffles, veggies and a savory dip, and of course some sweet treats for the fourth quarter. Black tie brownies and chocolate dipped strawberries for the W-I-N!

How to Make Chocolate Strawberry Footballs

Rinse strawberries and pat dry. Heat chocolate melt candy in a double boiler or microwave according to package directions. Dip strawberries and place on wax paper. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Use cookie frosting to draw football lacing lines. Refrigerate again until ready to serve.
