Plus I’ll show you how to make this DIY dish towel any hostess would love to receive. The holidays are a time for gathering with friends and family, sharing the joy of giving. With these party ideas you’ll be able to create a festive party that your guests will gush over into the New Year.
For this holiday party I went with a theme that was sophisticated with a wintery feel. I dressed the table with a neutral linen and used some snowy trees as table decor. I found this white wash window and added some black, white and gold christmas cards to make an easy centerpiece.
A cheese plate is always perfect to serve for the holidays. The key to creating the perfect cheese plate is combining a few flavorful cheeses with some tasty pairings. Manchego, cranberry cheddar, and brie are a great trio of soft and hard, mild and sharp. I added some dried fruit, walnuts and honey toasted nuts. Honey is a cheese plate essential, it really adds a perfect touch of sweetness to the pungent cheese flavor. I love Don Victor Orange Blossom Honey. I keep a few jars in the pantry and use it for everything from making a cup of tea to giving recipes an indulgent, delicious dash of sweetness. It’s a raw, unfiltered honey that’s not heated in any way. Plus, the honeycomb can be eaten. It’s soft and aromatic, perfectly enjoyed on biscuits, hotcakes, toast and crackers.
I drizzled a bit of the Don Victor Orange Blossom Honey over the brie and used it to make an amazing fruit dip. A cracker with a bit of brie and honey is a mouthful of perfection! I put out a dish of frozen grapes and a honey vanilla yogurt fruit dip. Make frozen grapes by rinsing in water and put in freezer for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and serve immediately. Honey Fruit dip recipe is listed below.
I’ll share a secret with you for an easy party food you can make in minutes. These sweet and spicy meatballs are soooooo goood, everyone always raves over them. They are the easiest thing to make and you only need a few things. A bag of frozen meatballs, a bottle of honey or brown sugar barbecue sauce and a jar of red pepper jelly. Heat the meatballs according to package directions. In a sauce pan add the meatballs, barbecue sauce and half the jar of pepper jelly. Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes. I serve them over an extra dash of the pepper jelly.
I love to give unique gifts that serve a purpose so I know they will be loved and enjoyed. People always ask me for ideas for parties and entertaining so I like to put together gifts that can turn anyone into a terrific host. A few party essentials like these will make it easy for anyone to serve up an impressive arrangement of food and drinks with ease. I also love to use useful things like baskets and boxes for my gifts, like this beautiful tin and leather tub that can be used for serving drinks or chilling wine.
