I received samples and products from Boon for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I only share things I love and think other moms will too!
I’ve been a big fan of the Boon brand from the beginning of our journey into the world of baby products. Our highchair is made by Boon and has been one of the few things I would mark as an absolute favorite we couldn’t live without. So when I had the chance to try out more of their popular products I had a pretty good feeling we were gonna love them too.
Boon makes lots of innovative products for children that are modern looking and super helpful to parents. We are already fans of their awesome plates, sippy cup covers and silverware. Two new things they’ve added to their well loved list of kid gear are the SPAN and the FORB MINI, both now available at Target. We got to give them a run to see how well they work with the cleaning up the mess that is toddler mealtime.
I love breakfast! We roll downstairs put on some fun, upbeat songs in the morning and B helps me make pull together something healthy and yummy. My go to favorite he loves is this Spinach & Roasted Tomato Omelette. It’s easy and it’s got protein plus veggies so I know it’s a good way to start the day. Plus I always add some avocado on the side or black beans and a little bit of fruit. It’s a great, well balanced meal that always gets completely eaten, a solid win for any mom!
Spinach and Roasted Tomato Omelette Recipe
- 2 eggs, beaten with a fork
- 1/4 cup of shredded cheese (we like colby jack)
- 1/4 cup chopped spinach
- 6 grape tomatoes diced
Heat up a little bit of olive oil in a small pan. Add the grape tomatoes and stir for a couple of minutes. Add in your eggs and cook over medium heat for a few minutes till the liquid solidifies. Add in the spinach and cheese and fold over, continuing to cook for one more minute. Remove and let cool before you serve up to your little eater.
There are so many simple but brilliant things that make Boon products helpful. Like the stretch sippy cup covers that fit to any cup, genius! Their bowls and plates have a solid weight to them and they don’t skid.
You know how you run the dishwasher and then open it up to find turned over bowls full of yucky dish water, so you have to essentially hand wash them again. The SPAN solves that annoying problem with a stretchy silicone net that fits to any dishwasher and confines your dirty dishes to their downward washing position. Brilliant!
The FORB MINI is a hand washing helper that you can feel good about, versus the nylon bristly or spongey brushes that just look like bacteria playgrounds after a few uses. It’s made of super tough nylon so it lasts way longer and cleans better without scratching up your pans and dishes.
Ok moms, what are your messiest toddler meals? I’d love to see your cute messy baby faces and toddler eating disasters. Share them on our Facebook page or in the comments below.
