So we've had a really busy month full of end of summer activities and getting ready for back to school, it's been a little crazy. I've finished up most of my list of things we need, shopped for new clothes and picked out school supplies. One of the last things left to do was find a cool pair of kicks for my little preschooler.
Brady LOVES getting packages, he totally freaked out when the box arrived and he opened the shoes I ordered for him. I found the Stride Rite Leepz on Zappos.com and I knew they would be perfect. They're blue and black with green laces and a cool design that looks like webbing. He immediately referred to them as “superhero shoes!” We are currently in the obsessed with all things superhero phase.
But the coolest thing about these shoes is that they light up with every step! Bright green lights activate when he takes off, it looks pretty awesome. Way to go Stride Rite for designing a shoe that makes kids want to move more. Where were these things when I was little, lol!
Stride Rite shoes are awesome for kids heading back to school. They go on easy, they're lightweight and have excellent grip. We've had a few pairs of Stride Rites and they've held up through lots of everyday play. And they are anti-stink, which I truly appreciate. It's crazy how stinky little kid's shoes can get, right mommas?
I ordered our Leepz from Zappos which made shopping for shoes one less stressful to-do on our list. I love that they have an amazing selection to choose from and I can read real, honest reviews. They have great customer service and fast, free shipping and returns. Totally beats trying to reason with a toddler in a department store any day.
Our only problem now is that he loves his Leepz so much he wants to sleep in them. I can't get them off of him, seriously! And I didn't think it was possible but he's even more active and full of energy so they might really be “super hero” shoes! Which means this momma needs an extra shot of espresso to keep up.
He's so excited for school thanks to these new kicks, he can't wait to show them off. I'm happy they've given him a little confidence boost for his first day. Mission back to school shopping for shoes is a success!
